[VIDEO] The FCC recently released a Public Notice asking for feedback on several ideas to modify VRS, and the FCC asks questions on what you think should happen.
First, the FCC asks whether the FCC should mandate the use of a single software program or app for all VRS calls? Second, the FCC asks if it should require the use of a central database for telephone numbers? The FCC also asks for feedback on proposed changes to the VRS rates.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has proposed new rules and asked for suggestions on how to improve Video Relay Services (VRS). The NAD first found out that the FCC was considering making reforms to VRS last summer. We have been working diligently along with other Consumer Groups representatives, to let the FCC know our concerns about possible changes to VRS and also improvements we would like to see. The rulemaking has four key areas for reforms:
