An Inside Look at the ALL-NEW College Bowl Teams!
We are thrilled to have three new teams join the College Bowl Competion at the 51st Biennial NAD Conference in Louisville, KY this July! The College Bowl competition has been a crowd favorite since its inception in 1988 and this year the CSUN, NTID/RIT (not pictured) and Gallaudet University teams will be joined by three all-new teams: Howard College at SWCID, the University of Minnesota and the University of Texas at Austin.

Space is running out, but we want everybody to have a chance to cheer on their favorite teams during the College Bowl preliminaries and finals, and support quality education for our deaf and hard of hearing young adults!
The College Bowl competition was founded in 1988 because the NAD wanted to showcase the potential and advancement of deaf and hard of hearing students in academic institutions. The College Bowl is one of the stages where future leaders of the deaf community meet -- and engage in a fun, friendly competition!
Previous competitions have asked questions ranging from deaf history to current events, from literature to world history, and the 2010 competition ended with only a two-point margin between the winning team and the second place team. Gallaudet won with 93 points over NTID/RIT's 91, and CSUN scored 44 points. Who knows what will happen this year?
With the new, expanded group of teams, the format has been adjusted to reflect the changes. For the first time ever, the College Bowl competition will consist of two preliminary matches as well as the final match. The first preliminary will be on Wednesday, July 4 at 10:00 a.m., and the second one later that day at 2:00 p.m, where two rooms will have three teams each. The final will consist of the three teams with the highest combined scores.
