Join us for the NAD Spring Gala on April 17th!
Paris, ah, Paris! For us Paris carries a significant place in our cultural history. This city was once lauded as a site of intellectual activity where visionaries, poets, and artists would meet and work alongside each other like Renoir and Monet. There, they were influenced by the amazing ideas and philosophies they exchanged, much like we see our deaf artists doing today.
Paris was also the first site of the world’s first public school for the deaf and the first Summer Deaflympics. Thus it is with excitement we announce the National Association of the Deaf’s first Spring Gala, “An Evening in Paris” - 2010 Spring Gala will be held on Saturday evening, April 17th from 6 to 11 pm at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in North Bethesda, Maryland. Join us as we exchange more wonderful ideas with influencers like the members of the NAD Board and honor Anita B. Farb, a longtime NAD staff member and advocate for the American deaf and hard of hearing community.
Look to icons of French glamour for your inspiration, and dress to impress at the Gala. Join us in Paris!
