Together, we stand strong!
Our hard-earned rights are not guaranteed and can become weak or be taken away. Your financial gift helps the NAD stand strong as a national advocate on behalf of the American deaf community. Your gift helps the NAD protect what we have now and future opportunities for our youth (Click here to view “NAD in Action” highlights)
We’ve made it easy for you to donate – online, mail, fax, through your workplace, or by contacting us to make specific arrangements. Below is a listing of specific “Ways to Donate” – so that you can choose your giving preferences.
The NAD is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of individual and organizational donors, including corporations and foundations. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. For more information on charitable giving, please see the Internal Revenue Service website - www.irs.org.

- Law and advocacy
- International human rights
- Youth leadership
Make a Memorial or Honor Gift
You may also make memorial donations to the NAD "in memory of" loved ones, family members and friends, or those who have left a lasting impression. Also, you may make commemorative donations to the NAD “in honor” of a specific individual on a special event or occasion (such as a birthday, wedding, anniversary, engagement, graduation, or a milestone).
Become an 1880 Circle Donor
The 1880 Circle confers honorary recognition to individual and organizational donors who contribute $1,880 or more during each fiscal year (April 1 through March 31). Monthly payments on substantial donation commitments may also be made through our secure online form.
Make Monthly Pledge Payments
If you wish to pledge a large donation amount, may decide the number of monthly payments and the payment frequency. It is easy to do this through our secure online form, or you can contact us to make monthly payment arrangements. The choice is yours.
Give Through Your Workplace
The NAD is listed with the Combined Federal Campaign for federal government employee donations through payroll deductions (CFC designation code for NAD: #10356).
If you work in the private sector, you may be able double your donation to the NAD if your employer matches charitable contributions. Contact the personnel office of your employer to see about matching gift opportunities.
Give In-Kind Donations
In-kind gifts of office products and supplies are always needed by the NAD, which routinely purchases supplies from companies such as Office Depot, Staples, and online suppliers. Donors may contact us to find out which products are needed, so that they can arrange to have these shipped to the NAD.
The NAD also welcomes donations of historical NAD memorabilia (photographs, documents, books, novelty products, and related items worthy of historical preservation).
Make an Investment Gift
You may wish to give NAD a gift of securities, including stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have appreciated in value. Gifts of publicly traded securities may provide you with added tax advantages. For more information, please talk with your financial advisor, and contact us so that we can be of assistance to you.
Arrange a Planned/Estate Gift
Our planned giving donors are some of our most committed partners, ensuring that the NAD is included in their long-term plans. Planned gifts offer a variety of options for supporting the NAD and may, in most cases, provide income and tax advantages to you and/or your heir. These include estate/will bequests, life income gifts (charitable gift annuities), insurance and retirement benefits, stocks or bonds, and so forth.
For more information about planned/estate giving, please talk with your estate lawyer or financial advisor, and contact us so that we can be of assistance to you.
