2012 NAD Conference Workshop Proposal Form 

Please use this online form to submit your proposal for a Workshop presentation. The deadline for proposals is March 8, 2012. No extensions will be given. Presenters will be notified prior to March 15, 2012 of their proposal acceptance.

Please be sure to choose the correct category and track for your proposal. Workshops are presentations on a variety of topics, with tracks that are relevant and appeal to all ages – ranging from youth to those who are young at heart, with the inclusion of skills development and advancement strategies appropriate for the workplace.

We encourage you to prepare content for your Workshop proposal in a MS Word file and then copy/paste content to the online form to prevent accidental loss of information. Proposals that are not relevant, clear, concise, and complete will not be considered. Presentations that market specific products or services are not permitted; the Exhibit Hall is available for this purpose. Please understand that we cannot accept all proposals that are submitted.

CART and interpreting services in addition to LCDs, PC laptops loaded with MS Office and projection screens will be provided for all workshops. If your Workshop proposal is approved, you must do the following:

  1. Be prepared to describe presentation content fully to ensure accessibility.
  2. Ensure that any videos shown during your presentation are captioned.
  3. Ensure all handouts are in an accessible format for all participants.
  4. Register for the conference before May 15, 2012 (this applies to co-presenters as well).
  5. Submit handouts/Power Point/slides to the conference workshop coordinator to distribute to interpreters/CART/people with special needs.

**All approved presenters are responsible for their own travel and accommodations.**

Please submit your proposal abstract in 100 words or less. This information should be suited for use in the Conference Program Book.

Please detail your presentation goals & objectives in 500 words or less, including plans for audience interaction.

Presenter Information

Please submit a short biography (50 words or less) that explains your expertise in the topic you will be discussing.
