2012 NAD Conference, Louisville, KY, July 3-7 - DeaFestival Kentucky July 7

 

Do you plan to take some time during the Conference week to visit Whiskey Row and the historic Main Street’s cast iron district as well as “Old Louisville”? Are you curious about Slugger Museum and the bat factory? Do you want to visit Churchill Downs and the Derby Museum? If so, try a great tour to these wonderful places! Although the NAD does not provide tours, Mint Julep Tours will provide ASL interpreted tours of Louisville, KY!

Louisville City Tour & Slugger Museum 
Tuesday, July 3, 2012 - 2:00 -5:00 PM 
$59 per person

Explore the sites that make Louisville unique! See Whiskey Row and historic Main Street’s cast iron district as well as “Old Louisville”, home to the country’s largest collection of Victorian architecture. We will also see the University of Louisville’s campus, 4th Street Live entertainment destination, Nulu district and much more! This excursion includes a visit to Louisville Slugger Museum & Bat Factory for a tour and time at their “All Star” gift shop.

Kentucky Bourbon Trail & Louisville City Tour 
Friday, July 6, 2012 - 9:00 AM -4:00 PM 
$99 per person

Experience Kentucky’s proud bourbon heritage on a scenic jaunt through Bluegrass countryside as we travel to Heaven Hill distillery & the Bourbon Heritage Center where you’ll learn about the history of bourbon and the process in which it is made on an expert guided distillery tour followed by a tasting. We’ll make a stop at a local eatery to have lunch (included in the tour price). We will then tour the city discussing fun facts and the history of Louisville as we tour around town by the many treasures we lay claim to. You will also enjoy a walking tour of Churchill Downs and time at the Kentucky Derby Museum to sense the history and experience of “the most exciting two minutes in sports”.

The NAD has no business relationship, control, interest, or other ties to Mint Julep Tours, but is pleased that Mint Julep Tours is offering these tours with ASL interpretation.
