NAD to Appear at RID Conference in Chicago
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) will appear at the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Conference at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in Chicago, IL, July 29-August 1, 2003. The NAD values its longtime relationship with RID and looks forward to participating in the RID Conference.
Visit the new "eye" catching NAD display and learn about how the NAD is working to protect the civil rights and improve the quality of life of all deaf and hard of hearing Americans.
Join NAD or renew your NAD membership when you visit the NAD booth at the RID Conference and you will automatically be entered into a prize-drawing! First prize is the "Hand in Hand - We Make a Difference" denim shirt. Second prize is a copy of the book, "Legal Rights: The Guide for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People." Third prize is the "Hand in Hand - We Make a Difference" denim cap. The drawing will take place at NAD Headquarters, winners will be notified by email, and prizes will be mailed to all winners. In addition to the prize-drawing, new and renewing National NAD members will receive a free copy of the April/May NADmag.

The NAD has been working collaboratively with RID on the NAD-RID National Council on Interpreting (NCI) efforts to develop a new national interpreter testing and certification system. As part of this process, NAD Level III, IV and V certified interpreters are being welcomed to the RID Certificate Maintenance System, including full NAD and RID membership benefits.
