NAD Exploring 2006 Biennial Conference Location Options
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is now exploring Region IV location options for the 2006 Biennial NAD Conference, originally planned to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The NAD grieves with the rest of the nation on the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in the states of Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
"The NAD Board of Directors recently voted, with heavy hearts, to find a new location for the 2006 Biennial NAD Conference," said NAD President Andrew J. Lange. "We believe that it is in the best interest of all involved to move to Region IV for 2006 and then return to New Orleans for 2008."
"Specific Marriott properties have been targeted within Region IV on the west coast" explained Nancy J. Bloch, NAD Chief Executive Officer. "We are working closely with the NAD Board to ensure a smooth transition to a location that meets all of our Conference needs."
