Political Advertising

To refer others to this page, please use:

Regulations issued by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) require captioning for presidential candidates who receive federal funding, as part of the Form 1040 "check off" provision. The NAD encourages all political campaigns to caption their ads voluntarily, including state and local campaigns. In addition, the NAD urges advocacy organizations to caption their issue ads. Deaf and hard of hearing people vote, too!
