NAD to Host Board Meeting in Bay Area, California Oct 11-12

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) will host its next Board meeting in the Bay Area, California at the California School for the Deaf – Fremont in the Little Gym. The Board meeting is open to the public on Thursday, October 11 from 1:30 – 5:00 pm and from 8 am to 4 pm on Friday, October 12.

The NAD invites members and supporters to join a town hall meeting, hosted by the California Association of the Deaf, San Francisco Deaf Club, and DCARA from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Deaf Community Center, 1550 San Leandro Blvd., San Leandro, CA 94577. The DCC is accessible to the San Francisco Bart which is across the street. Admission to the Town Hall is limited to the first 125 people. The town hall event is free. On Saturday, October 13, the NAD will join the Pleasanton Deaf Nation Expo and sell its popular “Nothing About Us Without Us” t-shirts, which were popular at the 2012 NAD Conference. NAD Staff, Board members, and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about the organization and advocacy issues facing the deaf and hard of hearing community.
