The NAD Leadership Training Conference (NLTC) is designed to provide deaf and hard of hearing people and hearing allies with the best workshops, training and interactions to promote improved leadership skills for many purposes: employment advancement; organizational operation; and interpersonal interaction. As the nation’s premier civil rights organization of, by and for deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the United States of America, the NAD’s mission is to provide guidance and support to the deaf and hard of hearing community to take on society’s challenges and succeed in a more equal and accessible world. Come and gain the knowledge, expertise, and network to enable full productivity and success within your employment, state associations, organizations, and corporations! We look forward to having you participate in this engaging leadership training event in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.


NLTC welcomes community members, State Associations, Organizations, and government employees to attend! NLTC is specifically tailored for deaf and hard of hearing individuals who wish to enhance leadership skills for the workplace and for community involvement. All training sessions will be conducted entirely in American Sign Language. NLTC is geared to individuals seeking to improve their skills for workplace advancement and community engagement as well as civic involvement. Plenary presentations and breakout session topics will include (subject to change): anti-racism work, understanding bias, self-care at the workplace, legislative training, recruiting young leaders, how to work together, organizational management, fundraising, communication strategies, and advocacy training.
