NAD Virtual Meeting and Webinar Conduct Policy

  • All virtual meetings and webinars organized by the NAD is intended to be a safe, secure, and enjoyable place for all attendees and participants with the purpose of encouraging productive discussions, maintaining full accessibility, and minimizing disruptions that may arise from the expression of diverse views. All attendees and participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner, and to show respect to everyone at all times without any form of harassment.
  • The NAD does not tolerate harassment of any kind including but not limited to: race, national origin, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, religion, or political affiliation. The NAD reserves the right to expel any person who engages in violations of this conduct policy, and also reserves the right to ban such person from future NAD events.
  • The NAD prohibits showing on your clothes or background or on the screen any of the following items: obscene text or images, logos (except you can wear logos representing the NAD or your organization), any type of weapon, and political endorsements. You are strongly encouraged to choose clothing and backgrounds that contrast with skin tone. Along with adequate foreground lighting, this contrast will help reduce viewer fatigue and make the meeting more accessible for low-vision viewers.
  • Anyone can report harassment or inappropriate conduct. If any person’s behavior has made you uncomfortable, or if you witness inappropriate conduct towards someone else, please immediately contact any NAD staff.

Virtual Meeting and Webinar Conduct Policy Violation
