2023 Deaf Law Day

National Association of the Deaf (NAD), Association of Late Deafened Adults (ALDA), and Deaf and Hard of Hearing Bar Association (DHHBA) proudly hosts the fourth annual Deaf Law Day at the tenBroek Disability Law Symposium

Wednesday, March 22, 2023
8:30 AM – 4:30 PM ET
Jernigan Place, 200 East Wells Street
Baltimore, MD

Deaf and hard of hearing individuals are a large segment of the population protected by the ADA, and many of us represent clients who require auxiliary aids and services like interpreters or captioning to communicate effectively in different circumstances. Deaf Law Day at tenBroek will provide a full day of information and sharing for those who practice in this field or may find a need or opportunity to do so the day before the start of the 2023 Jacobus tenBroek Disability Law Symposium.

The National Federation of the Blind has graciously agreed to open the facilities at Jernigan Place in Baltimore for Deaf Law Day.

Invited presenters include practitioners who represent leading advocacy organizations, and others actively working in this practice area. While presenters will discuss issues, problems and emerging trends, the intent is to leave plenty of time for questions, comments and group problem-solving. Many attendees in the past have been able to receive 6 hours of CLE credit in their home jurisdictions, and we will provide the necessary information to enable those applications.

Cost for in-person attendance is $75/person to cover the cost of lunch, ASL interpreters, and CART writers.
